Temecula Valley Genealogical Society

Our Beginnings

In January of 1998  Temecula Valley Genealogical Society was founded and organization by Jo Peck, Toni Peroni,  Barbara Russell and Terrie Scheele. The society's mission was to provide a genealogical society for the community, to encourage and stimulate interest in genealogical research, and to provide a forum for the exchange of genealogical information and help. Since our first meetings in 1998 with 42 members, Temecula Valley Genealogical Society (TVGS) has continued to grow in terms of the variety of events and activities and the size of the membership.  In addition to the regular meetings, we have offered classes and seminars.  We have one or two social events each year.  Our book collection has grown considerably, especially with the opening of the new Temecula Public Library in December 2006.  We offer genealogy help to patrons of the library.  We have computers, along with a digital film viewer and scanner system in the library.
Temecula Valley Genealocial Society holds meetings the 2nd Monday of each month at Ron L Roberts Public Library and on Zoom. Check our calendar of events for a list of all meetings and classes or email tvgswebmaster@gmail.com for information.
