Let’s Get Creative.  Face it, most of us get rolling eyes and sighs when we begin to talk about ‘the family history’.  BUT there may be some creative ways to entice the younger generations to get excited about their ancestors – from stories, to scrapbooks, to sorting through the old black and white photos or those heirlooms.  A ‘family history’ doesn’t have to mean a boring book filled only with names, dates and places!  It can be so much more.  Let’s discuss!

Jean Wilcox Hibben; PhD, MA, former So. Cal. college speech professor (MA Speech Communication; PhD Folklore), is a national speaker and author. A member of the DAR, she is the former director and current stafftrainer for the Corona, CA Family History Center, has worked on backgroundresearch for two genealogy television programs, and was a host for podcastson social history. A former Board-Certified genealogist with over 40 years of researchexperience, she is a former board member of APG and past president of its So. Cal. Chapter;newly elected board member of the So. Calif. Genealogical Soc.; 1st Vice-president of theCorona Genealogical Society, as well as webmaster for that same organization; and participant
